What is Queen?

  1. A female bee with a fully developed reproductive system, and she is larger and longer than a worker bee.
  2. The fertile female bee that once mated should be capable of producing male and female offspring.
  3. The mated female bee, with fully developed ovaries, that produces male and female offspring. (There is usually only one queen to a colony.)
  4. The reproductive female in a colony of honey bees.
