Burr comb

What is Burr comb?

  1. bit of wax built upon a comb or upon a wooden part in a hive but not connected to any other part.
  2. Any section of comb that is not a part of the main comb piece within the frame or hanging from the top bar.
  3. Comb usually built between the top bars of frames in the top box of the hive and the hive lid.
